The mixture is delivered through a nasal mask. The patient remains conscious and can speak with staff. Sedation supports treatment and does not replace local anaesthesia.
Assessment and care
The clinician reviews health, medication and nasal breathing, and controls delivery during treatment. Instructions after the procedure are individual.
